Closing roads in Bristol

If you need to undertake works on a road in Bristol you will need to make an application using one of the forms below; this may involve payment of a fee. Depending on the application being made, the application process can take a period of weeks to complete. It is therefore advisable to submit an application as soon as possible.

Closing a road is a complicated task and council officers must ensure that your works have a suitable diversion and do not conflict with other road works or closures in the area. You must contact the Network Management team on 0117 903 1212 to discuss your proposals prior to submitting an application.
