Care Direct - information for older people and disabled adults and their carers
Bristol Care Direct is a service for vulnerable adults, older and disabled people, their families, friends and carers. It provides information about - and access to - social services, benefits and other resources.
It does this by providing:
- a telephone helpline dealing with any issues concerning older people and disabled adults
- a 'gateway' for information and advice
- access to a range of community resources
- help for older and disabled people to apply for benefits
- a contact for concerns about potential abuse of vulnerable people
